Comme on pouvait s'y attendre, c'est une equipe de tournage française qui a assisté Josh and co. Cela aurait été en effet trop couteux de transporter tout le materiel et le personnel des US vers Paris.

Fake Empire lands D.C.-set drama at net

Josh Schwartz's and Stephanie Savage's new Fake Empire has landed its first major piece of development, a D.C.-set drama at ABC.

Alphabet net has given a put pilot order to Fake Empire's untitled D.C. project, which centers on a group of twentysomething roommates who juggle their personal and professional lives in Washington. The young politicos find that the ideals that brought them to D.C. don't always match with the realities of living in the nation's capital.

Because of the producers, the project could be unofficially nicknamed "OC in D.C." -- although that would never pass muster as the show's actual title.

Will Fetters, who wrote the recent Robert Pattinson-Emilie de Ravin feature "Remember Me," is writing the script and will co-exec produce.

Warner Bros. TV, where Fake Empire was launched earlier this year in a blockbuster deal, is the studio. Schwartz and Savage will produce along with Leonard Goldstein, who heads up Fake Empire's TV operation.

Ashley Parker, who works as a researcher, fact checker and writer in the New York Times' Washington, D.C., bureau, is also onboard the D.C. project as a consultant.

With the notable exception of "The West Wing," the networks have found D.C. to be a tough series nut to crack. But execs have been eager to get back into the D.C. game, with several new such series recently popping up both on the reality side ("The Real Housewives of D.C.," "D.C. Cupcakes") and in scripted (NBC's upcoming "Outlaw"). Several more were in development last season.

Nets have also been eager to explore young people in Washington -- the focus, of course, of 1985 film "St. Elmo's Fire." Past attempts to mine that world include Dick Wolf's short-lived WB series "D.C."

Schwartz's and Savage's credits include "The OC," "Gossip Girl" and "Chuck."

NBC Snags 'Ghost' Romantic Comedy From Josh Schwartz Starring Rachel Bilson

EXCLUSIVE: It's an O.C. reunion at NBC! The O.C. creator/executive producer Josh Schwartz has a hot new hourlong project in the works, which will star O.C. alumna Rachel Bilson. After a heated bidding, the show, a supernatural romantic comedy titled Ghost Angeles, has landed at NBC with a pilot production commitment, a rare feat for a project that has not been written yet. Schwartz and Henry Alonso Myers (Ugly Betty) co-created Ghost Angeles  and will write it together. Details on the project are being kept under wraps but, according to a concept circulated around, it centers on a young woman in Los Angeles who can talk to the dead, helping the spirits as much as they are helping her. Ghost Angeles hails from Fake Empire, Schwartz's recently launched company with Stephanie Savage, and Warner Bros. TV where the company is based with a five-year deal. Schwartz, Myers, Savage and Fake Empire's Leonard Goldstein are executive producing. In its first development season, Fake Empire has already sold 2 projects, Ghost Angeles and an ensemble show about young people in DC from writer Will Fetters, which is set up at ABC. Ghost Angeles marks the first hourlong project created by Schwartz in 4 years, since he sold Chuck, co-written with Chris Fedak, to NBC and Gossip Girl, co-penned with Savage, to the CW in 2006. It also extends Schwartz's relationship with NBC where Schwartz's spy dramedy Chuck just kicked off its fourths season.

The O.C. marked a career breakthrough for both Schwartz, who at the time became the youngest TV series creator, and Bilson, who had only done small guest roles until then. Bilson's character on the show, Summer Roberts, was also originally written as guest star but, after it popped, she was made a series regular, and Summer's romance with Seth Cohen (Adam Brody) became one of O.C.' key plotlines. Bilson, who is friends with Schwartz and his wife (she served as made of honor at their wedding), did an arc on the first season of Schwartz's NBC dramedy Chuck. Bilson, whose feature credits include Jumper and New York I Love You, guest starred on the season premiere of CBS' How I Met Your Mother last week, reprising her role as a love interest for Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) from the show's 100th episode last season. Myers is currently a consulting producer on Chuck.

Vu comme ça, c'est carrément du Ghost Whisperer en tout cas !

C'est vrai que ça fait penser à Ghost Whisperer mais après l'actrice n'est pas la même et puis il y a peut être des détails qui n'ont pas était dévoilé, il y aura je pense des différence car sinon cette série va couler.

Je ne connais pas les audiences moyennes le vendredi mais ça me parait très peu quand même. C'est pour ça qu'il ne vaut mieux pas faire de la plagiat d'une série qui pourrais être supprimé cela serais inutile.

Trachtenberg has sold a script about a young criminology student with a gift for profiling and a dark past.
Stuart Zicherman is executive producer and writer. Schwartz, Savage and Len Goldstein are exec producers. Trachtenberg is set to star, and a producer.
